2011 Victor Vallera Bocce Tournament

EVENT SCHEDULE& DATE:
Sunday, the 11th of September 2011

Elm Ridge Park, Rocky Hill, CT 06067

Rain Date, Sunday, the 18th of September

12:00pm to 12:30pm Registration and Orientation

1:00pm Moment of Silence in honor of Vincent Palombizio

1:00pm Start of Tournament

4:00pm Cooking of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers

5:30pm End of Tournament (approximate time)

6:00pm Presentation of Trophies by Town of Rocky Hill representative (Best Sportsmanship Award in honor of Vincent Palombizio)

1. Hot Dogs & Hamburgers will be prepared for every participant
2. Bring your own chairs & drinks
3. Bring any specialty foods of your choice
NOTE: Pavilion cannot be used for this event

TEAM FORMAT:
1. Four (4) persons to a team; substitute optional
2. Two (2) teams per court
3. One (1) dedicated player per court to keep score
4. One (1) player per team dedicated as referee

RULES OF PLAY:
1. No lobbing of bocce balls
2. No rough-housing which cause harm to others
3. Ball out of court is ball out of play
4. When bocce ball is thrown and ends at same distance to the pallino as the opponent’s ball, that same player has to keep throwing until the point is taken
5. When all bocce balls from each team have been thrown and one ball per team ends up at the exact same distance to the pallino, it will void any points to the teams involved and this set will have to be replayed.
